Over the past year, I’ve had more and more couples across the Goulburn Valley ask whether I offer any kind of video alongside their wedding photography. Until now, the answer has always been no. But lately I’ve been wondering if it might be time to introduce something new at KMerritt Photography.
I’ve been exploring the idea of offering short wedding highlight films for my couples. Nothing long or overwhelming — just a beautifully edited two‑to‑four‑minute video that captures the movement, atmosphere, and little in‑between moments that photos can’t always show. Think of it as a gentle companion to your gallery. The laughter, the way your dress moves in the breeze, the squeeze of a hand, the quiet moments that bring your day to life in a different way.
These films wouldn’t replace photography. Photography will always be the heart of what I do here in the Goulburn Valley and beyond. But a highlight video could be a lovely add‑on for couples who want something extra without committing to a full videography package.
Before I take the leap, I’d really love to know whether this is something my couples would be excited about. Would a short, story‑driven highlight film be something you’d want included in your wedding coverage? Is it a service you’d find valuable, or even something you’ve wished for in the past?
Your feedback genuinely matters, and it will help shape whether highlight videos become part of KMerritt Photography’s offerings moving forward. If the idea of a little cinematic magic alongside your photos sounds like something you’d love, I’d be so grateful to hear your thoughts.
